“I will move the ground under your feet.” 🏝

Spread the love

This past week, we took off to spend a few days at the beach. One night while we were there, I was spending time in prayer about some things weighing heavily on my heart. I spent time in the secret place, just taking those situations to Jesus and giving them to Him.

At some point, I got up and walked into the bathroom, then found myself looking at one of the photographs on the wall.

It was a beautiful black and white image of two children playing on a beach.

In my spirit, I heard His voice saying, “Just stand still and I will move even the ground beneath your feet.”

My mind immediately went to memories of standing in the surf and letting the waves roll in and back out, washing the sand out from around my feet.

The Holy Spirit is often represented by water, and just like the waves, the Spirit has power and can not only change the landscape around you, but also leave you firmly planted, right where you need to be.

Where do you need God to move in your life? Are you bringing that area to Him and being still?

He is your provider.

He is your healer.

He is your vindicator.

He is your Prince of Peace.

He is your comforter.

He is your forever companion.

He is your breath.

He is your source.

Be still, and know that He is your God, and He can move the ground even beneath your feet.

Psalm 46:10

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

In Christ,

Keri

PS – Are you having trouble being still? One of the reasons we struggle with this sometimes is anxiety.  I wrote a book on the spiritual warfare behind anxiety and depression and believe it is helpful to all of us, whether we experience anxiety at a high level or it’s mild. It starts out with a clinical perspective, sharing tips and techniques I’ve helped my clients use over the years, but then it goes much deeper, into the unseen, spiritual world and how our spiritual enemy plays such a huge role.
