How to Prioritize

when you have a LOT of stuff to do

Someone asked me recently how to prioritize when you have a LOT of stuff to do.

Mark Twain once said, “if it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning; and if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.

There is so much truth in that!

In all of the things we have to do each day, if there is something you need to do that feels like that big frog that you’re dreading eating, then take care of it first. Otherwise, it’s going to take up so much mental space that it’s going to be hard to focus on anything else you have to do.

When you get the big things out of the way, it’s a lot easier to tackle the smaller things, because nothing is going to be as bad as eating a live frog first thing in the morning. If you get the worst thing out of the way, you’re good to go!

So, my advice to you if you’ve got a lot of things on your to-do list is to eat the biggest frog first. (Check out Brian Tracy’s book, Eat That Frog!)

What is your biggest frog right now?

What is it that you are dreading doing? Move it to the top of your priority list because once you get that done, it’s smooth sailing from there!

Come to the Every Day Incredible Ladies Facebook Group and tell us about how you’ve eaten your biggest frogs (or how you plan to, so we can help keep you accountable)!

As always, remember that there are opportunities every day, so make every day incredible!
