“Lord, give me eyes to see who I am in you!”

Spread the love

The following was recorded live in the Every Day Incredible Ladies facebook group.

Good evening, ladies!

If you’ve not already seen, there’s a link in the group for the podcast episode for the Christian Coffeetalk for Women.  I was so excited to be able to have an opportunity to do that interview, and I just want to make sure you guys saw that link. That episode is specifically about abortion, pregnancy and infant loss, and spiritual warfare. They are all potentially controversial topics, but some very powerful topics. We talked a lot in that episode about how the enemy that we have- our spiritual enemy-  tries to pour on the guilt and shame when we make mistakes. I just really encourage you to go check out that episode. It’s just really powerful. It’s about how we can stand our ground, wearing our armor, and not give in to that.

Go check that out, and you can share your comments and your experiences on that post if you’d like, but also just share with anybody that you think might be able to benefit from hearing that message.

Last week, I told you all that I had planned to talk about our identity as Christian women, but when it came time to do the facebook live, it just wasn’t fitting. I’d planned to revisit the discussion on identity tonight, so I loved the fact that our pastor talked about labels and identity this morning!

Every lady in this group has had a unique set of experiences. We begin defining ourselves or being defined from the time life begins.

Think for a moment about some of your own labels. Which ones does your spiritual enemy try to convince you are accurate? Which ones are rooted in God’s truth?

There can be a major disconnect between the two, and many anxiety and depression symptoms are found in that gap. What FEELS true about who you are versus what IS true.

Tonight, I want to encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to any of those internal labels you have that are just flat out not true, and correct them.

2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Any label your spiritual enemy tries to give you becomes null and void when you claim your identity as a beloved child of the King. When you wake up and realize just exactly what that means for you, it changes everything.

This week, the breath prayer I encourage you to pray is, “Lord, give me eyes to see who I am in you!”
