Good evening, Ladies.

It’ll be just a minute, I’m going to share this with the group. Is anybody still up this late? I’m a little later coming on tonight than I wanted to be, but I’ve had a sick baby today. Not fun. I guess I’ll have to share this after we’re done here, because it’s not working right now.

I wanted to check back in with you on a Sunday Evening here, so this weekend has had its challenges. Like I said, I’ve had a sick baby, and if I have to jump up suddenly, it’s probably because he is laying beside me and I don’t want him to fall if he wakes up because I didn’t want to move him. He’s not been sleeping well.

There was that going on, and if you have gone to everydayincrediblei.net, to the website, you’ll see a blank page right now. I’ve also been dealing with that all weekend because my site was compromised. That’s been a frustrating thing, but I’ll get it taken care of. I’m going to have to redesign the site, so hey, on the bright side, it’s going to end up having a brand new look, and it’ll be nice and fresh for us. Be sure to give me your feedback after I get that done, but it’ll take a little while.

That’s coming up soon… we’ll put a positive spin on it. But basically, we’ve had some challenges.

We’ve started a new routine with the boys and since it’s summer break and we’re trying to do something new with them and get them to do their chores (any parents out there, you feel me, I’m sure) but I have to say, yesterday, trying to get the boys to do one simple chore that should have taken them about 10 minutes, no joke, they spent about six and a half hours on. It was pretty ridiculous. They spent time throwing things around the room, they argued with each other, they just laid in the floor and kicked their feet up in the air, they did a little bit of everything. Yet somehow, they were still mad at me when (oh, he’s waking up), they were somehow still mad at me when they didn’t get to do what they wanted to do. Give me just a second.

Okay, so Logan’s going to join us tonight.

So anyway, the boys were mad at me when they didn’t get to do what they wanted to do, so I had to remind them that it was their choice and as I was talking to them, I thought, how much is that like we do with God sometimes? When something happens and we tend to get angry with God, when sometimes things happen that are our own decisions; the consequences of our own actions? and… from the time the day started yesterday, I was telling them that I wanted to let them watch a movie after they got their chore done and then they had a chance to go do something else, and I was telling them all day what I was hoping to have happen for them, if they just did that one, simple thing. If they just cleaned up their stuff and just did the one chore that should have taken maybe 10 minutes and they would have been done with it.

So, if there is something that God has been revealing to you – if there’s something, even if it’s something seemingly little, if it’s an issue of letting go of bitterness, or forgiving someone, or something like that, whatever it is, sometimes those things can keep us from getting to do the things that we want to do. Sometimes, those block our blessings. I wanted to encourage you to really examine your hearts and see if there is something there that needs to be addressed, because that could be a very disappointing thing when you can’t do the things that you want to do or a hurtful thing when the blessings that you are hoping for don’t come, but often times, not always (sometimes it’s just part of the journey and there’s a lesson in everything that we go through – God wouldn’t allow it if He wasn’t going to use it for some good), but make sure that there’s nothing that’s blocking that blessing that you’re hoping for. Make sure that there is nothing that’s unresolved. Nothing that needs to be fixed; no unresolved bitterness or unforgiveness that’s kind of lingering there. Those are things that scripture talks often about and scripture is very clear about that we need to clean up and clear up before we can get the blessings that we want and have the peace that we want to have.
So, in the midst of everything that’s happened this week, again, cleaning up some sick messes that have not been fun and cleaning up the site mess, and that’s not been fun, somehow, by the end of the day yesterday, and even today, when there was a time that I would have been very stressed out and very overwhelmed, but honestly, I feel at peace, and it’s okay. So that kind of brings us to the breath prayer for this week, as we’re going into a new week.

I  wanted to share Philippians 4:7, “and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

so this week’s breath prayer, I want to encourage you, when you face things that are not in the plan, because we always will; when you face things that are not n the plan, and you’re tempted to give in to those feelings of discouragement and anxiety, and all of those things that we are tempted with -they are kind of thrown at us, I want to encourage you to pray, “Heavenly Father, ‘guard my heart and my mind with your peace.” Because He will. And we know that that peace comes from Him alone, and there are so many other passages in scripture where He talks about the peace that He can give us and only He can give us.

Hey, Vanessa! Good evening. I wasn’t sure if anybody was going to still be up late, but good to see you here!

So again, I just wanted to encourage you to really focus on and claiming that peace that God has already given us. Because, according to scripture, God has already given us the peace that we need in the situations that we have in front of us.

So, there’s your breath prayer for this week, and I encourage you to pray that and if you have any verses that you would like to share, then feel free to do that here, and let us know how the breath prayers work for you, and I’ll talk to you soon! Bye!
