Today, we’re talking about environmental wellness.
When we think of environmental wellness, I’m not just talking about recycling and being green (those things are important too!). I’m talking about the wellness that’s created by having a pleasant environment where you spend your time.
If you have ever noticed, if you’re feeling very stressed, your house, car and your workspace can really reflect that.
If you’re overworked, overwhelmed, or things are just not going as smoothly as you’d like, your environment begins to reflect that chaos. I have seen that in my own life and in the life of my clients.
Today, I want to challenge you to set aside 15 minutes a day for the next week to just declutter. Just walk through the house and put things where they go, and then see how you feel at the end of the week, after doing that every day.
The thought of getting everything clean and organized can be pretty overwhelming, but it may be a little easier to wrap your head around doing 15 minutes a day of decluttering. So, if that’s somewhere that you could start, it’s a fantastic place to start because that’s something all of us can do.
Set aside 15 minutes. Set a timer, turn on some fun music, get the kids involved (if you have kids)… just set aside those 15 minutes every day to make that your quick-clean-up. Pick up things through the house, put them where they go, and when the timer goes off, you can move on to the next thing. If you feel like continuing to clean, go for it! That’s a bonus!
If you’re taking me up on this challenge to do 15-minute cleanups for a week, I encourage you to find me on Twitter @incredibledaily and tweet me using #15minutecleanup I look forward to seeing you get involved and I wish you a very productive week!
Remember, there are opportunities every day, so make Every Day Incredible!
