What to do INSTEAD of a New Year’s Resolution

For the past several years, I haven’t made a New Year’s Resolution. Instead, I discovered “My One Word.”

The concept of choosing one word for the year is that the word becomes your theme for the year. In 2011, when we were facing the birth of our twins (and death of our baby girl), I chose the word Joy because I knew I would have to make a conscious effort to seek joy as the year progressed. Other words I have chosen different years include “anticipate,” “restore,” and last year’s “warrior” as I was seeking to deepen my prayer life and become more of a prayer warrior.

What word could you choose for 2019? Come share in the facebook group!

It looks like the original website I found for “My One Word” isn’t currently available, but you can still find the facebook page here.
