God, I just don’t understand!

Prov 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This has been a favorite passage for as long as I can remember. Have you ever just felt like praying, “God, I just don’t understand!!”

We’re only human… we cannot possibly understand the reasons behind all of the struggles we face, or the tragedies that happen.

We’re not going to understand all the whys. We’re not expected to understand it all!

Our human selves often try to take things into our own hands and make things work according to OUR understanding… but the problem with that is that we tend to get in the way.

Trust God. Even when it doesn’t make sense, just trust that He has a plan, and make decisions that are in line with His word.

God may allow bad things to happen, but He doesn’t waste them when you trust Him!
