Do not be discouraged

Josh 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Life can be pretty scary sometimes! Scary and discouraging. You’ve been there, right?

It can be pretty hard to remember, but when you are following where God leads you, He is going to be right with you every step of the way. Like Peter walking on water, we have to keep our eyes on Him to keep from sinking. It’s hard to feel scared when your focus is on the Master!

To help keep your focus on Him when you are tempted to feel terrified or discouraged, whisper a prayer, “Oh Lord, My God, thank you for being with me!”
