When I had a glimpse of Heaven… (and free printable scripture card)

Phil 4:7: And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

When I see this verse, I think of the day our twins were born and our newborn daughter went to Heaven from our arms. I always welcome an opportunity to talk about the incredible peace we felt that day. Nothing on earth explains that peace on a day like that. We’d known for months that she wasn’t going to be able to stay with us. We experienced emotional pain like we’d never before.
But the peace that day, when we needed it the most, was truly beyond understanding. We touched Heaven. Heaven had never felt more close or real than it did then. We felt joy and were able to enjoy those few brief hours with her. That is what the peace from God can do. I can only imagine that peace at its fullest, in Heaven.
