I can’t forgive her, she didn’t even apologize…

1 John 1:8-9 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Forgiveness does not require apology. Did you know that?

We are often tempted to say, “I can’t forgive her, she didn’t even apologize.”

As a result, we just cling to our own bitterness. Stew in it. Allow ourselves to be consumed by it.

God isn’t like that at all. He has already offered the forgiveness.

He gave us that gift, freely, through allowing His one and only Son to die on the cross for us. The gift is there. To accept it, however, we all must acknowledge that we have sinned – that we have been selfishly focused rather than focusing on what God wants from us – trust, love, and obedience. He loves us and has good plans for us. Unconfessed sin is dangerous. Not just because God doesn’t like it, but because it actually gives satan and his army the right to torment us.

That’s why God sent His son to die for us, and that’s why He has allowed us to share in the inheritance of that victory!

He IS Faithful!!
